September 2021 – Update

We have finally enjoyed a wedding season!  It seems like forever since we last had a wedding season. (It was the summer of 2019) And it is a great feeling, to finally be able to supply wedding suits to our hundreds of clients from 2020 and 2021.

Over the last few weeks of August and September we have supplied hundreds of wedding suits to hire and buy, to clients who have had to reschedule their weddings 2,3 or 4 times.  The relief to finally be able to have the wedding day they have dreamed of, is incredible.  I can’t even begin to imagine how stressful the last two years have been for these couples, but they have finally made it!

We have nearly cleared the majority of the back-log of the last 18 months, but we have some way to go before our business returns to normal.  We have a large number of clients who have rescheduled to 2022, so our clients book is already considerably packed before we have started booking for new clients.

I would suggest that any new clients who are looking to hire a suit for 2022, should consider booking quite far in advance.  August 2022 is already very heavily booked!

I would also suggest that booking appointments for fittings (for those who already have bookings in place with us) should do so earlier than usual.  We will continue to practice an element of social-distancing & additional cleaning throughout winter and probably spring too. This does mean that appointments are less available than they would have been pre-pandemic.

We may also continue to have longer lead times on all of our products, due to issues within the supply chain. If these continue throughout 2022, our lead times could continue to be longer than usual.

All in all we are looking forward to a very successful year in 2022! and we cannot wait to have a full year of weddings!   However we are requesting that our clients prepare and organise a little further in advance than they usually would.
